Please read this:-

Any event highlighted in bright red font in th eEvent Plan means that we are still looking for a volunteer to help to organise it – please contact me (Martyn Harwood, Events Co-Ordinator – martynharwood@gmail.com) if you are willing to assist.

If your email address and telephone number appears on here, as will be necessary if you are organising an event, then for reasons of security it will be deleted once the event has taken place and sooner if it proves possible; for example if the event is fully booked.

St. George’s Day Asparagus Festival on Tuesday 23 April at The Fleece Inn, Bretforton.

This event has come to signal the start of our open air events. Many of you have supported it in previous years, but if you haven’t tried it yet then maybe you might care to give it a go this year.

The event is typically English and a bit bonkers. It differs from year to year but we always meet at The Fleece, displaying our cars in the Orchard. Nigel, the landlord, provides tea and coffee and a bacon or sausage and asparagus bap. There is usually morris dancing, other musical entertainment and a scenic drive in the afternoon.

Nigel is still planning the details, which I will circulate when he lets me have them. This message is just an advance notice to ensure you have it in your diaries.

You don’t have to commit, but it will help me to know whether you intend to come. Please reply to Brian (not Martyn) using the below email address.

Highnam Court Motorshow and Gardens 9 June

One of the Spotmog’s favourite events has just opened up for bookings.

I have been in contact with the organisers and they have asked  for each person attending to book and pay individually, cost is £5 per person.

Once you have proceeded with the payment, you will automatically receive the car pass to print out, which must be displayed in the windscreen on the day of the event.

The organisers will endeavour to park the club/group vehicles together but unfortunately they cannot guarantee this.

They must get the attending vehicles onto the site and off the main road as quickly as possible to avoid traffic queues entering the site. This can be quite a challenging task for our volunteers who make up our parking team and as such we are not able to allocate specific spaces or areas to allow all members of a club to be parked together.

To book your place use this link:

https://piedpiperappeal.co.uk/classic-cars-gardens-2024

Please let me know if you will be attending and I will circulate a list of those attending and if we all can arrive at a pre allotted time we have more chance of being able to park together
